Mrs Louise Bailey is reported improved after major surgery last week at Beckley Hospital. Mrs Willard Ownby Jr. from Hampton arrived to Ravencliff to attend the death of her uncle Bulin Vaught. Mr and Mrs Frank Pizzino hosted their son in law and daughter Michael J Sizemore Anita Carol from Charleston. Howard Glasscock and family returned from South Boston. Elizabeth Williams hosted Mrs Frank Brubeck and Mrs Vernon Riley from Silver Springs.

Motorbike Accident Injures Area Woman in Pineville
Mrs. Ralph Green was injured when a motorbike left the road on Jesse Mountain about noon Monday. She suffered a broken leg arm and head injuries and was treated at Oceana Medical Center and Grace Hospital before transfer to Bluefield Sanatorium. her son Danny Green drove the bike. The rider’s condition was listed as fair.
