Eisenhower Defends Press Respect In Letter Clarification
Former President Eisenhower says he has the highest respect for the press as an institution. In a July 31 1964 letter he notes his remarks at the Republican Convention were not a general attack on reporters, but a critique of a few sensationalists and confirms his esteem for journalists and the school system as defenders of freedom.

Wall to Wall Carpeting and Insurance Guidance
A housewife asks what policy to insure new wall-to-wall carpeting. Usually it falls under home furnishings and is covered by dwelling contents or a package policy, unless the carpet is attached to the home as real property or installed as a finishing floor. Consult an independent agent to confirm coverage and perils.
