Greek Forces Remain Alert After Chasing Red Bulgars
Raleigh County fiscal year reports show total property evaluation rising to 89,087,125 dollars from 83,757,685 last year. Clerk Harry E. Anderson notes sufficient funds exist to retire bonds and interest, with about 60,000 dollars returning to the county fund after all bonds are paid in 1959. The court finds budgeted items now cover actual costs for 1952-53 with no anticipated overdraft, and a curtailment of overdraft by at least 35,000 dollars is expected next year. Taxpayers League members E. E. Bibb and M. W. Powers attended.
