Sparacino Discusses State Education and Budget Roles
Anthony J. Sparacino, Raleigh County prosecutor candidate, defends current education spending, favors more funds but argues it depends on available money. He backs Board of Public Works to set the budget and elected Public Works members, while urging legislators to heed constituents’ needs within conscience. He notes WV’s road costs due to mountains, praises some health gains, and opposes shifting tax or liquor policy without public support. He supports a simple majority for better schools and a paid legislative pay raise with limited 60 day sessions, and no constitutional convention. He highlights his 20 years as a lawyer and prior service in police court and school teaching as qualification.
