Women Voters League Plans Election Etiquette Effort
The Provisional League of Women Voters in Beckley aims to dignify the primary by painting 60 foot lines outside polling places to curb embarrassment over campaign boards. Officials seek enforcement of the 60 foot restriction and consider voter tags reading I have voted. New officers were elected at the Raleigh County Courthouse meeting, with Mrs. Riffe as vice president and Mrs. Gorsica as treasurer. The group adopts study of election laws and a monthly meeting on the fourth Thursday.
