Shirley Dawson 18 Ben Dawson 21 both of St Albans and Rebecca Miles 26 of Charleston enlisted in the United States Air Force at the Beckley Recruiting Station. Dawson and sister will start basic training together. he to begin as an Aviation Cadet but may wait four months for a class due to high applicant volume. All three are children of Ethelyn Fox Virgil Miles and attended local high schools. Miles and Dawson prior worked for Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. in Charleston.
