Young Women's Christian Home Seeks New Building
The Young Women's Christian Home in Quincy at 313 York street seeks a larger, modern house to house resident and transient guests. Since 1895 the home offers affordable rooms and board to business and college women, with matron H. Rottmayer praised for a family-like, rule-free atmosphere. Fundraising aims to raise 1800 for a new property, aided by gifts from Cornelia Collings, E G Cottrell, Samuel Turner, Theresa Woodruff, and a concert, with ongoing community support and a capable board managing self-sustaining operations.
