Rhythm in Army Bike Weary March Through Night Town

A diary style account of a march by a regiment toward the front. Soldiers trudge through darkness at 5am, reach a town by noon, some fall sick or need bandaging while surgeons ride along. Bed space is found in a chateau as the night in a foreign village unfolds among thirsty, tired headquarters staff.
