Alderman Sam Hyatt spoke about the band stand in Monday nights council session but mixed it with the removal of lumber on the old Franklin school lot on South Fifth street. Another alderman discussed tarvia and sand on wooden block streets while contractors were to clear the Franklin school area. The contractor housed lumber machinery and tools there and must clear within a week or face ten dollars per day rent after that, as Aldermen Eoin and Ellis noted the breach of the resolution.
