The Coweta County Georgia Commissioners document a record run in an Overland car with Fish Tires, where the superintendent of County Works drove abroad 18,000 miles before a tire change. Despite rough roads and many laborers at work, the same tires covered more miles on three of four wheels. The Commissioners approved more Fish Tires for other cars. an electric battery and magneto powered a two year book without attention.

Garford Unveils Huskiest Model 25 Truck in Lima
Garford Motor Truck of Lima Ohio announces the Model 25 a ten and a quarter ton capacity addition to its line. It features ample wheel base and body space electric lighting and starter optional. The 22 horsepower four cylinder engine uses a three bearing crank with integral oil jacketed heads and a water jacketed cylinder section for the gas passage. A quiet timing gear train runs in oil with broad helical gears and a forward driven magneto and generator to power electricals.

Overland Cars Lead Army Transport Convoy Across Country
United States army officers celebrate the performance of the new Overland 4 touring cars and sedan leading the Army Motor Corps Transport convoy on a Lincoln Highway transcontinental tour. Riots blamed on crap game near Chicago beach
Chicago August 24 State's Attorney Maclay Hoyne issued a statement attributing the recent Chicago race riots to a crap game between white men and Negroes near the Twenty Ninth street bathing beach. He said the violence followed black belt politics in City Hall that encouraged gambling and vice to win the Negro vote. The note also cites Russia occupying one sixth of Earth’s land surface, vastly larger than Japan with 8,650,000 square miles, spanning half of Europe and much of northern Asia.
