Notary J K Anderson Gazetted In Tow Hill
Tow Hill resident J K Anderson is gazetted as a Notary Public. Skidegate visitors include Miss Lauder and Mrs N Fraser with Mrs A Cromp in town. Victoria Day is May 24 with no local celebration yet planned. Local pre emptors face tough prospects on islands. Hydah delivered lumber trips and townspeople bought salmon from Honna River.

Presbyterian Church Forms Community Board and Service Plans
A Wednesday meeting elected a board of management and secretary treasurer to support Rev. Bygraves. Members include P. S. Jack chair, C. P. Johnston, W. H. Fairbairn, D. Cochrane, J. L. Barge secretary treasurer, with Mallory as Aliford Bay representative. Barge offers free hall use for services. Queen Charlotte holds Sunday services at 7.30 pm with 10.30 am Sunday school. Skidegate meetings May 11 at 2.30 pm and alternate Sundays. Aliford Bay May 18 and alternate Sundays. Everyone welcome.

Road work is underway across the Islands with three crews from Indian village to Fiel river under foremen Wm Duncan A Richardson and N Schafer. Sandspit workers under Nate Ley. trail to the Honna near completion supervised by T R Davey. Nearly 100 men employed. more applicants than work but funds remain ample. Incoming settlers advised to wait several years unless they have capital or other work sources.
