The Tucumcari City Commission moved toward final approval of an updated animal-control ordinance covering definitions fees and license requirements. A final vote is set for Sept 14 with changes taking effect Jan 1 A new $100 permit for hobby breeders kennels grooming parlors or pet shops would apply and permit numbers must appear on ads.
