Car chase ends in gunfight near state line
An 80 mile pursuit from Amarillo to San Jon ended when Mario Montes fired at officers and was shot in the lower abdomen by a Texas trooper. Montes is in critical but stable condition after airlift to an Amarillo hospital. No officers were wounded.
