Kodiak Fresh Produce shut its Tucumcari location on Tuesday ending 25 jobs. The company plans to host a farmers market at the warehouse while exploring a partial retention of staff through local discussions with city officials and the economic development group.
A two story house at 614 East Smith Avenue in Tucumcari burned on April 13. A man with burns was rescued from the back yard and transported to Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital. Firefighters took four hours to extinguish the blaze and the State Fire Marshal’s Office joined the investigation. Identity and condition of the injured man were not released.
