Tucumcari Museum marks 50th anniversary in sunny turnout
The Tucumcari Historical Museum celebrated its 50th anniversary amid better weather drawing larger crowds than in mid April. Attendance topped 150 at the main building, with 60 plus people at a rock painting booth and many enjoying outdoor exhibits. Board member Cindy Lathrom praised the turnout while memories of founder Herman Moncus were recalled by Lucy Niall who noted his push for verified history.
