Blue Swallow Motel Changes Hands in Tucumcari
Rob and Dawn Federico of Crystal Lake Illinois become new owners of the Route 66 landmark Blue Swallow Motel. The deal closed June 30 with former owners Kevin and Nancy Mueller assisting through a transition. The motel, built by W A Huggins in 1939 and later listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993, was put on the market in 2018 for about 1.2 million dollars.
