Tucumcari eyed racino site with major infrastructure data
The Tucumcari City Commission heard that Coronado Park Racetrack and Casino could be a viable racino on a 245 acre site with 10 inch water and wastewater lines, lift station access, and capacity for 4 to 5 million square feet of buildings. The study notes potential for a 1.8 million square foot warehouse or food processing plant. Funding came from a $50 000 federal grant with a $5 000 city match. The panel also approved over 400 000 in aging contracts and adopted foster grandparent memorandums with local schools and agencies. Fire Chief Larry Rigdon was named to the planning and zoning board.
