San Jon Board Approves Two Year Superintendent Contract
The San Jon Municipal Schools board unanimously approved a new two year contract for Superintendent Janet Glady at the Jan 14 meeting. The pact runs July 1 and pays 105000 dollars annually. Glady began as superintendent July 1 2018 after leading a district in Griggsville Illinois and was born in Nevada, raised in Arizona.

Logan Schools Accept Donation For Safety Equipment
The Logan school board on January 14 accepted a $1,000 donation from American Legion Post 77 to fund new custom safety mats for the weight room. Superintendent Dennis Roch stated the funds come from the Legion’s charity account funded by gaming revenue. Post 77 has previously supported scholarships and local fire and ambulance services. The board also awarded a $40,088.11 contract to Bryan Road Custom Builders to construct a new press box at the high school football field, with Roach abstaining from voting to avoid a conflict of interest.
