Mesalands Sees Enrollment Rise in Spring 2011 FTE Gain
Mesalands Community College reports a 3.1 percent rise in full time equivalent and a credit hour increase of 3.1 percent for the spring 2011 semester. Headcount edges down slightly as more students enroll full time, aided by new degrees, certificates, and expanded distance education and evening courses noted by Robin Alden. Since 2000, FTE and credit hours grew 243 percent, headcount up 258 percent.

The Tucumcari Chamber of Commerce and Tucumcari Rotary Club will hold a joint annual fundraiser Friday at the Elks Lodge. The shrimp broil supports the air show and scholarships. a Silent Auction offers entries for a 42 inch TV with each bid.
