Record lows hit Tucumcari as freeze grips region
National Weather Service warns below freezing conditions through Friday in Quay County. NMSU Tucumcari center logged 14 below zero on Feb 2, the coldest since 1963, with earlier historic lows noted in 1919 and 1904 weather records. San Jon Tucumcari Logan and House schools resumed after cancellations, bus routes mostly normal except Conchas with notes excused.
