Logan boys basketball lost 52-50 at Boise City after a tied game with 30 seconds left. Coach Kyle Griffiths blamed a missed open look and a banked free-throw jumper at the buzzer. Garrett Bollinger led Logan with 14 points. Dante Sanchez added 12.
Logan girls basketball lost 47 26 at Boise City Oklahoma a state ranked undefeated foe. Logan ranked No 3 in New Mexico Class 1A moved to 8 2 while Boise City improved to 7 0. Coach Glynna Strand said the team did not show up and Karli Webb led Logan with nine points.
In the Citizens Bank Tournament opener, Eunice defeated Tucumcari 64 59 as Ramos scored 17 and Lampkin 16. Tucumcari hit eight 3s, trailed by 14, then led briefly by four before foul trouble and missed layups doomed the rally. Span noted 15-for-31 free throws for Tucumcari and more than double the fouls the Cardinals drew.
