Tucumcari placed at the Rattler Invitational with Joe Martinez finishing second at 170 pounds after a 5 3 loss in the finals to Liberal’s Tony Rivera and Dyson Clark securing fourth at 220 after a late loss by default. Coach Eddie Encinias praised Martinez’s all around skill while noting early-season setbacks for several teammates and predicting stronger district performance.
