Washington June 20. The senate military affairs sub committee approved the army appropriation bill for the coming fiscal year totaling 900 million and sent it to the full committee. The aviation appropriation report was set at 55 million.
Atlantic City June 20 The League of Nations question dominates the AFL session with debate on the covenant and on endorsing it. President Gompers leads the delegates in favor of the league.
Miss Cetie Jones daughter of Mrs Agnes Jones united in marriage with Maurice Ping at St Josephs parsonage with Rev Fr Hassel officiating. The bride worked as bookkeeper at Rafferty store and the groom is an assistant manager at a local handle factory after returning from army service. The couple are greeted by many friends.
Miss Selah Trene Harris aged 19 and Homer Charles Southgate 22, both of Vincennes, wed Wednesday in the east Broadway office of Justice D. 8S. W. Miller. The couple were accompanied by Mrs. William Brackin and plan to reside in Vincennes.

Mrs. Cordelia Corder, 70, of Princeton, welcomes her son John Corder, quartermaster corps, returning from France after a year overseas. Her brave, patriotic life included Red Cross service and steadfast support for his enlistment. Her reunion is tied to her long faith and community ties.
Mrs. Estes Finch hosted a gathering at her Francisco home on Thursday to honor brothers Donald and Ralph Reavis who have recently returned from overseas service.
Fifteen neighbors gathered on north Gibson street Thursday evening to surprise Mrs G O Johnson’s sister Mrs Bennen visiting from Maryanna Arkansas. They delivered filled baskets and treated her to a ride. After lunch the group sang songs and played games. Mrs Bemen departs soon for home.
Charles Oskins of East Ohio Street was overcome about an hour after starting work on E. W. Brumfield’s farm Thursday and was removed to his home. He had suffered injuries at the Southern shop about a year ago and has since been unable to work much.
