Mrs. Erma W. Fligreins of Newcastle Indiana is named as pension attorney under the new act. The notice indicates eligibility and required action for veterans of the Spanish American War and the Philippine Insurrection. The filing deadline appears to be in the near term.
Denver Colo was selected as the 1921 AFL convention meeting place. Organized labor plans an aggressive year in political economics and industry after the federation's two weeks session in Montreal. President Samuel Gompers was re elected for the thirty eighth time as the executive council moves to implement the program.
President Wilson signed the water power bill at the White House. He also approved an act allowing enlistment of non English speaking citizens and aliens in military and naval forces. He did not approve the joint resolution to repeal most wartime acts, excluding food control espionage and a few others.
William Gibbs McAdoo announced he will not permit his name to be presented at the Democratic convention. He cites unavoidable campaign expenses and a need to restore his private affairs, and notes his resignation as Treasury head in 1918 informs his decision. He urges Democrats to nominate candidates who can win with a straightforward liberal platform.
San Francisco June 19 Protracted balloting of delegates was predicted with 300 of 1092 delegates instructed. Palmer 104 Cox 74 Hoover 30 Simmons 24 Owen 20 Hitchcock 14 Cummins 14 Gerard 13 Bryan 10 McAdoo 10. Two thirds needed 728 votes.
George E. Daugherty of Herriot Carither Hardware sails for Buffalo New York to serve as First Congressional District delegate at the national hardware dealers convention. He will visit New York City and then Winchester Arms in New Haven Connecticut for a Winchester dealer meeting.
Fighting between Nationalists and Unionists at Londonderry persisted through the night with several wounded as national police abstained from intervention.

Chief Counts and federal agents stopped two whisky trucks from Kentucky to Cleveland after tracking a man named May Rneleberg believed to be a Cleveland agent for a million dollar whisky syndicate. They hid along the road and followed the vehicles to a garage where the liquor was confiscated.
Washington reports Assistant Secretary Shouse states a McCoo refusal to enter San Francisco will fuel a sharp push for Senator Carter Glass of Virginia. Shouse criticized McAdoo candidacy after telegrams surfaced and Senate campaign expenditures hearings noted his involvement. Glass supporters claim he will command the first ballot at the convention.
The report notes a high of 90 degrees and a low of 69 for the day with 0.3 inches of rainfall. Morning temperature at 6 am recorded 66 degrees and skies partly cloudy.
Duluth Minnesota June 19 state troops from Ft Snelling armed with machine guns patrolled the city as a mob gathered to march on the jail where 14 Negroes were held for the assault of a 17 year old white girl. Tuesday night a mob of about 5000 wrecked the police station and lynched three Negroes. A special grand jury is investigating the lynching and the assault.
Warren G. Harding moves to start his presidential campaign with a Monday conference in Washington. He has met mainly senators so far and has gathered material for his nomination acceptance speeches. The session with National Chairman Will Hays and other leaders aims to boost Harding's drive.
Alber DeVaull of Peoria and Pearl Kinman of Littles wed amid license records. Kirk H. Paul of Hazleton and Hester Crowder of Patoka also listed. Russell FE Duncan and Helen L. McCullough of Oakland City appear in the same registry.

Owensville, June 19 A 19 year old son shot his 50 year old father Ben Harris in the side with a 22 caliber rifle during a quarrel at the Harris home four miles southwest of Owensville. The elder Harris was being taken to the Methodist hospital at Princeton as warrants await the son’s arrest. The mother had filed a peace affidavit alleging mistreatment.
In Louisville on June 19, Mrs Vera Monteque 24 wife of George Monteque a former Blue Devil of France remains missing since Tuesday. Her father J B Fagan superintendent of Princeton Indiana schools says the family is not alarmed though their 14 year old son is ill. Police and private investigators continue to search while friends urge restraint and note the daughter may have left her husband by choice.
Chicago June 19 The Democrats are not murish only says Mrs Frederick Tahl chair of the Illinois Democratic women's finance committee announcing thousands of silver roosters will be sent to the national convention in San Francisco to promote the real party emblem. She notes the donkey was adopted after the Civil War and asserts the rooster is a proud bird the party has to crow about.
William Wilson a mentally ill inmate handed Sheriff Wayne Bran a roll of paper this morning and asked him to keep it. Bran was transporting Wilson to the Southern Indiana Insane Hospital at Evansville when he discovered $193 in government pension cash hidden in the roll.
Donald E. Shewmakerre a P H S 1920 graduate now at a Evansville business college underwent an operation at the Walker sanitarium for removal of his tonsils Friday. Attorney Thomas Duncan traveled from Indianapolis to Evansville for federal court work then returned home Friday evening. Mrs W F West and her two sons Billy and Dan visited her father J I Carlisle in Millshoals Al today.
Administration Democrats head to San Francisco with no candidate chosen yet but with clear plans for their platform.
Famer Congressman George K Denton and Judge Ireland of Evansville visited Princeton Saturday morning en route to Long Pond for several days of fishing. The baseball game is scheduled for Sunday at 2 30 at South Side Park.
San Francisco dispatch reports William G. McAdoo's withdrawal from the presidential race as final. Homer Cummings rises as a new focal point for convention leaders while Palmer and Cox pursue delegates and debate whether to nominate McAdoo.
The Washington Township Home Economics club met at Miss Minnie Hyneman's home. Members shared favorite pickle recipes then enjoyed readings by Gladys Ford et al and social games. Contests included a vegetable stunt and a tack driving challenge won by Mrs. Hyneman. Next gathering at Mrs. James Dutro's home.
Qualified aviators with officer reserve corps commissions may continue training at listed Army fields. Equipment will be supplied by military authorities.
