A Paris statement today says America backs a concerted move by the allies to extradite the former Kaiser. The report notes coordinated action among nations in seeking accountability for wartime actions.
A telegram to Henry Tichener, county food commissioner, says Washington has ordered removal of all sugar use limits. The December 1 regulations restricting four pounds per person monthly are canceled. Dealers no longer must track sugar purchases nor report amounts to the food administration.
Be C Flickner a 22 year old Southern Railway brakeman from New Albany died after being crushed between an engine and a cut of cars in the Southern shop yards. He died at Methodist hospital after an attempt to save him. He had recently worked there and leaves a wife in New Albany. The accident happened while engine No 62 was moved to the roundhouse and a cut of cars rolled back.
Reports from Copenhagen and London claim German and allied authorities discuss occupation plans in Germany. A Heidelberg dispatch notes a guard killed three French prisoners prompting fears of French occupation of Heidelberg and Matinheim. Lord Cecil named to lead British delegation at the peace conference. The French note seeks repayment of allied occupancy costs totaling 313.5 million dollars for the American army and 10 million for Britain. President Wilson states America will pursue clear ideals no misinterpretation of soldiers’ aims.
President Wilson will call additional officials to France soon after landing to oversee distribution of American foodstuffs and raw materials to suffering populations. Bernard Baruch is likely to be named. The George Washington sails at 17 knots and remains about 600 miles east of New York. the president is recovering from a cold and shows no sea-sickness.
Preliminary peace discussions to open in Paris December 17 with President Wilson to participate. Talks planned to last about a month before the formal conference with German representatives begins January 15. A treaty is expected to be signed in April or May.

The left wing of the Secon atvicion is within three days march of the Rhine. American forces along the river plan to reach the Rhine by December 13. Corps of engineers departed for Schlenz to fix bridgehead areas and arrange railways and telegraphs handover.
Washington December 6 Senator Lewis of Illinois warned in the senate that the proposed League of Nations could endanger world peace rather than guarantee it. He said the great wars have followed treaties among former allies and feared reciprocity demands could weaken the United States. He also warned of Asia and Japan pressuring the U.S. to abandon exclusion policies and to yield to Europe and changes to the Monroe Doctrine.
Washington December 6 Germany twice offered Sweden admission to the central powers and offered Finland in 1914 and North Schleswig later as bait. Berlin backed the demands with threats to land troops in Sweden if the alliance failed.
Santiago Chile December 6 the war ministry proposed that Great Britain return to Chile the two dreadnoughts requisitioned at the outbreak of the war. Chile had two dreadnoughts being built in England when requisitioned by Britain.

Mrs. Fred Sweepy reports her brother Pvt Charles G Meeker has arrived in New York from London with the 314 Wero Squadron. Another brother, Ast Lieut E Meeker, has arrived in San Francisco after serving as train master in Aga.
Mr and Mrs Fred L Kohlmeier of Mackey note three sons in overseas service a rare family achievement. Dr C F Kahlmeier became first lieutenant in 1917 and sailed for overseas in 1918. Dr I G Kahlmeier, a naval dental surgeon, earned lieutenant junior grade in 1917 and has made fifteen Atlantic crossings. Ei A Kohlmeier enlisted August 1917 in cavalry later transferring to field artillery and ended WWII service with a reported armistice day letter saying he came through unharmed.
Red Cross notes announce shop hours each afternoon for knitters and urge immediate work. December 26 deadline for sock yarn must be met. branches and committees urged to continue garments and socks as needed, and to advise when not required.
The funeral for Theodore Ray Wilcox was held Saturday at 10:00 AM at the residence conducted by Rev. Mr. M. The body was to be sent to Mt. Carmel by the 105 o'clock tram.
