The Turks did not mount a counterattack as the gains were consolidated after May 8. Fishing fleets report sixty thousand pounds of halibut landed by Canadian Cold Storage at sea banks amid accidents and tow operations.
McLaren, charged with stealing a large quantity of goods from a tailor shop, appeared before Judge Young and chose a speedy trial. The hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning. Inspector Owen of the Provincial police will depart this morning by train for Fort George.

Paris May 11 The official report notes north of Dixmude Belgian troops raised a bridgehead on the Ypres right bank and repelled three German assaults with heavy losses to the attackers. East of Ypres British forces faced gas attacks and fought back with masks and rifle and machine gun fire. North of Arras British and Belgian actions widen gains while German trenches along the Loos Vermelles road were captured. Further south, trenches near Ablain Saint Nazaire and Notre Dame area fell under Allied control as authorities report ongoing momentum.
Judge Young sentenced Lee A Young a halfbreed to one year after Lee was found guilty of stealing $140 and delivering the money to William Lawson. Lawson claimed he had a wife and family and said he would return the money. Both prisoners previously tried for the theft were disposed of yesterday.
