An official report notes intense artillery activity along the front. Allied guns with British cooperation damaged German defenses near Boesinghe and opened a 30 meter breach. Artillery bombarded positions around Daucourt Marqui Villers Cessier Roye and disrupted a German armored train near Chaulnes Roye. A column of infantry was dispersed northeast of Soissons.

An official report from Belgium's front says last night was calm but today our advanced positions endured bombardment from Furnes Pervuuse Roote Oosetkerke Nieuwchapelle Noordschoote and other points. Our artillery answered with heavy counterfire and dispersed enemy workers. Yesterday Allied aviators pursued hostile aircraft toward the German lines.

More Halibut Landed As Fleet Returns To Port

Yesterday’s ports welcomed a large halibut catch led by the Alten at 81,000 pounds under Capt. Bassi. The Seymour reported 51,000 pounds with Capt. Olsen, and the Constitution 14,000 pounds. The Zibassa, captained by Parsons, logged 14,000 on its latest trip as crews plan for holiday homecomings.
