Dardanelles fighting and Artois cannonade report

Paris dispatch details two days of active fighting on the Dardanelles and in Artois with shelling of Arras and an explosion near Faye. Germans Swept from Bivouac by Russian Fire on Duina Bank

An official report says the German bivouac on the left bank of the Duina was hit by heavy Russian artillery fire. The Germans were surprised and fled, leaving a hundred killed and wounded. On the Styr’s left bank the enemy retreated southwest of Britask, with no other changes along the front.

Artillery actions reported on Belgian front

An official report notes slight enemy activity west of Dixmude with a few projectiles fired. There were reciprocal shellings on the Yser and Ypres fronts. German bombardments hit Stuyvekenskerke and nearby villages while Allied artillery retaliated, silencing enemy guns north of Steenstraete.
