Rosemary Williams Wins Weekly Citizen Football Contest
Rosemary Williams of Preston correctly picked 16 winners to win the $10 first prize in last week's Citizen football contest. Kent Rawlings of Fairview took $5 for 15 winners. several high school and college games plus five pro contests were listed for this week. Entries must be at The Citizen front office by Friday noon or postmarked then. The contest is sponsored by local merchants including Loyal Hansen Agency and Sears Preston.

An Idaho National Guard team of Preston men and one from Pocatello won the national championship at the Winston P Wilson rifle competition in North Little Rock Arkansas. Ed and Steve Moser Lynn Sant Vance Winn Keith Corbridge and Ken Curtis led the Preston unit to the top trophy after defeating teams from 42 states. Moser placed third in the veteran open class aggregate with 459 21, and won the long range series with 121 12. The unit also won the combat shoot and finished second in the rattle shoot, marking Idaho’s first winning team at the event.

The Jefferson Parents Organization will hold a back to school night on Sept 22 at 7 30 p m in the Jefferson School cafeteria. Principal John Palmer and faculty will attend.
