District Lowers Levy Anies Eastside cuts four mills for next year
Franklin County taxpayers will pay less property tax as Eastside School District reduces the levy by four mills. Three mills come from the maintenance and operation fund due to a 27 mill statewide limit, and one mill from lowering the bond interest reduction from 13 to 12. Superintendent Dr. Orson Bowler says reserves will cover any shortfall. Final budget decisions followed June hearings. Preston city mill rate will remain as last year.
