Dayton Youth Narrowly Escapes After Tractor Accident
Kay Ralphs twelve year old son of Mrs W W Ralphs of Dayton was run over by a tractor near the Dayton school. The machine tipped and threw him under its rear wheel on loose gravel. He was treated at a hospital where X rays showed no broken bones and kept under observation for possible internal injuries before release.

Highway survey crews to cover Idaho areas this fall

A false alarm at the Refuge Club kept the local fire department busy on Sunday. In the afternoon crews responded to the Otta Gassman home after a neighbor reported smoke from the house. The family had burnt toast producing the smoke. No damage occurred.

Drowning News: Kent Hull Two Dies In Cub River
Two year old Kent Hull son of Mr and Mrs Clair Hull of Mapleton drowned Friday after slipping into Cub River while playing with his brother James. Neighbors and a doctor attempted revival before the Preston fire department arrived but the child did not survive. Survivors include his parents, four siblings, and grandparents. Funeral services were held Monday.
