Debate on Preston Grace mail delivery route changes
Postal officials debated proposed consolidations for Preston and Grace mail delivery on Oct 30. A plan to create one Grace to Thatcher Cleveland and Treasureton route would exclude Preston and face unworkable routing and poor winter service. A compromise proposes extending Grace star route into Preston then back to Grace, though 100 mile length and weaker service. Informed observers favor extending the Preston Thatcher route north toward Lago and transferring the Grace Thatcher segment to Grace rural route.
