Lyle Shipley was re elected to the council and Lee Bergquist will replace Keith Larson. turnout reached 93 percent with 1308 registered voters voting. Clifton chose Jack Wood as mayor, defeating Harald Fisher. council seats went to Karl Reeder Gary Jensen. National Farmers Organization to Convene in Burley

Idaho Advisory Council Approves Hill-Burton Funds for Preston Nursing Home
The Idaho Advisory Council for Hospital Construction approved 161 184 dollars in Hill-Burton funds for nursing home facilities in Preston. It denied 45 071 dollars for remodeling a hospital to meet state standards. Last year the county approved a 600 000 bond issue for the nursing home and hospital modernization. bond bids open November 10.
