Freshments will be sold from stands and at 12 30 sports activities including high jump relay races broad jump basketball throws and a baseball game at 2 80. An art exhibit from various schools will be on display all day with Mr Neuenswander Leroy Archibald and Mrs Lula Williams assisting. Parents are urged to attend.
J Stanley Anderson, pioneer photographer, died Tuesday in the area. He was known for documenting regional life and events, leaving behind a substantial archive reflecting decades of work. He is mourned by colleagues and the photography community.

Salt Lake City and Preston mourn the deaths of Charles David Goaslind born Richmond Nov 18 1860 longtime historian’s staffer at the LDS Church in Salt Lake City. He previously served as Idaho insurance commissioner and ex officio state examiner, and held stake church offices in Oneida Franklin and beyond. He died at home at 1 a.m. Sunday.
The Franklin County baseball league released its schedule for the period May 1 to August 19. Local teams competing in this league are identified, with details continuing on page 5.
The 11th Worley Cup was awarded Wednesday evening in the high school auditorium. Theo Petterberg presented the trophy, continuing a tradition since Drei Eugene Worley’s death. Moore has excelled in music and led for the past two years at Preston High School.
