Idaho Cuts 1.5 Miles From Highway 34 Project
The Idaho State Highway Department announced a 1.5 mile reduction in the Grace to Preston segment of Highway 34. The project, initially planned for about 6.5 miles, will now span five miles ending near the Harrow Canyon mouth toward Treasureton Summit. O. L. Arlo Gene Briggs alias Arlo Gene Tims was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Howard Bennett and pleaded not guilty to a murder charge. He is held in Franklin County Jail after extradition from Cache County for the February 10 slaying of his father. Attorney Robert Bennett was appointed to represent him.
