Newspaper Ads Boost Grocery Sales, IGA Executive Says
Orvie W. Johler of the Independent Grocers Alliance urged wide newspaper use in Salt Lake City, noting 85 percent of IGA store sales result from ads. He claimed ads drive larger gross volume and demonstrated with a recent IGA insertion doubling in size and selling seven million extra pounds of beef.

Implement Men Attend Meeting Held in Chicago
Leo Palmer and Joe Ward of Palmer Implement Co. returned from a two day sales meeting in Chicago where they saw new products introduced by International Harvester Co. for 1962 and heard a reaffirmation of higher standards in engineering and manufacturing. New tractors shown included the 404 series Farmall and International tractors and the B 414 in gas or diesel. The 404 series replaces the 240 and 340 series while the B 414 replaces the B 275. Also the 504 series Farmall International tractors in the 45 hp class was introduced as a new power size.

Tractors Advances Highlight Chicago Meeting and State Wildlife Rules
Featurning new speeds hydraulics and operate comfort all of these tractors have a new three point hitch with position and draft control automatically to transfer weight for increased traction. Approximately 5,000 dealers attended the Chicago meeting segmented into five two day showings. About 1,090 dealers participated in each showing across five regional sales areas. The shows were held at the International Amphitheatre in Chicago.
