Esplin remained unconscious but showed improvement after treatment.

Funeral services for Venda Nelson, 46, who died after an operation at Preston hospital, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Oneida stakehouse. She was born May 17, 1809, in Preston, daughter of Taylor and Susie Hawkes Nelson, and was active in LDS affairs. Survivors include her father and numerous brothers and sisters from Utah and California. Burial will be in Riverdale cemetery, under Webb mortuary.
