The Preston high school presents the annual school opera Lelawala a dramatic musical in three acts next Friday March 16 at 8 15 p m in the school auditorium All seats 60 cents including tax available at the book store or from Bruce Wallace Cast includes Lelawala Mary Jane Marpulopah Karl Johnson Roma Smith Sowanas Ree Hawkes Shungela Raoul Wheeler Warcartay Tommy Merrill and others Directors include Lyle Shipley chorus Marcell Bird orchestra and more The performance features solos duets and choruses with a large cast and student production team.

Second Lieutenant Heber Feckrell and the crew bailed out over Belgium after flak damaged their bomber on a Germany target. Feckrell, first jump, watched the plane burn as it hit Tournai, Belgium. He and the other crewmen, except the co pilot, survived with Belgians aiding him.
