Mrs. Roland Sharpe, Franklin county census crew chief, travels to Pocatello for a six day training school announced by Weller Rowell. She will return to Preston to begin a four day enumerator training for Franklin county starting March 27. Interviewing Franklin county applicants who passed the census exam was held in Preston Tuesday with Mrs Sharpe and Supervisor Rowell assisting.

Local Committee Formed to Aid Census Effort
Weller Rowell, supervisor for the Pocatello district, announced plans to form a local committee to aid the upcoming April census. National Club Week Planned by Franklin County 4-H Groups

Franklin Lions Club basketball tournament crowns winners
The Franklin Lions Club sponsored a three night tournament with teams chosen by Lions clubs. Results show Franklin winning the final against Preston 22 to 19, Cornish taking third after beating Thatcher 27 to 31, and Smithfield earning the consolation prize 22 to 16 over Mendon. Prizes totaled 185 dollars.
