CofC Drive Four Membership Drive Starts Strong
Eighteen businessmen attended the Preston Chamber of Commerce kickoff breakfast in the Franklin Cafe to begin the annual drive for members. Secretary Rulon Dunn reported strong first day enrollment and said the effort aims to keep Preston competitive and growing. Volunteers including Reid Bosworth and Gaylord Larson will contact every business firm and individual to enroll them.

Local Wool Growers Urged to Ship Wool Friday
Howard Hall president of the Franklin County Wool Growers Assn urged wool men to bring their wool to the Preston railroad depot on Friday at 8 a.m. to avoid rain. He asked growers to mark bags for owner identification. The pool earlier sold at 56 5/8 cents. 11,770 fleeces will yield about 90,000 pounds in the local pool.

Nine Franklin county 4-H club leaders and junior leaders attended a three day recreation 4-H club leader training program at the eastern Idaho club camp in Alpine Wyoming on June 6 7 and 8 last week. Wheat allotments totaling 34 746 acres for 1958 were mailed June 10 to Franklin County farmers per ASC chairman Von R Atkinson. The county office holds an public inspection list.
