Miss Franklin County Dineen Choules of Fairview will compete in the Miss Idaho Pageant at Boise High School June 19 and 20. She was chosen in August with Karen Wells as first runner up and Nancy Winn second runner up, and will travel June 16 for Boise events including rehearsals and Shrine circus appearances.

Three County Students to Get Degrees at Utah State
Utah State University will confer a record number of advanced degrees at its commencement in George Nelson Fieldhouse Saturday at 9 30 am. Summer swimming program starts at high school pool
Registration for the summer swimming program opens June 22 at the high school. It offers junior and senior lessons for school age children at $2 for 12 periods or 20 cents per class, with adult courses at $4 for forty sessions. Election Fails Monday and New Vote June 23
Boise area notice reports the Preston post of the American Legion selecting Renald Hobbs to represent at Idaho Boys State June 14–20. The mill levy election to fund school plant facilities failed last Monday with 183 votes. a new vote is set for Tuesday June 30. The levy would fund blackboards, acoustic tile, water, fire escapes, roof repairs, and science and math materials, aided by federal matching funds under the National Defense Act of 1958.
