County Farmers Invited to Aberdeen Station Open Day
County farmers from Sneed and nearby areas are invited to Aberdeen Station next Tuesday by 10 a m for a tour of Idaho agricultural stations. Highlights include a world collection of oat varieties and flax strains, winter wheat nursery, irrigation tests for potatoes and sugar beets, potato breeding, fertilizer trials, and field plots of cereal seeds. Cody Oats and Harold West will lead the outreach and attendance is encouraged.

Maggie K Sam Smith observed her 89th birthday anniversary on July 3 accompanied by Jobin Smith and Anna Burton. They flew to Cedar City to visit daughter Alice Smith, a six hour trip, recalling a 75 year ago wagon journey that lasted a month there and five weeks back. The Preston gathering greeted her at the William H. Smith home. Born in Smithfield Utah, she lived in Treasureton and Cleveland before moving to Preston 12 years ago. She has six living children Arthur T. Smith Pocatello William H. Smith John W. Smith Thatcher Jennie Perry Alice Smith Cedar City and Ann Burton Cleveland, plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Preston night rodeo of 1955 will run July 28 29 and 30 with daily parades at 630 p m led by parade chairman father Boyd Launc o co chairman and others inviting participation from any organization.
