Grace Cattleman Heads Local Association For 14 Years
Grace Cattleman leads the Federal Land Bank Association of Preston as president since its consolidation in February 1450. Officers include S LeRoy Salvesen Downey Vice President Roy Corbett Grace and Karl G Bailiff Preston on the board. Bassett and Salvesen’s terms expired this year. Bassett has served since 1928, the longest tenure aside from one predecessor.

Land Bank Association Sets Annual Meet in Preston
The Land Bank Association of Franklin, Caribou, Bear Lake, Oneida and Bannock Counties will hold its annual meeting February 7 in Preston at the Oneida Stake House. Three new directors will be named. Harold Bassett and Ste Roy Salveson are current incumbents, Albert Moser is retiring. Wayne Paris of Spokane will present a film Credit Where Credit Is Due. Registration starts 11 AM, luncheon at noon, followed by a business session and film.

Area Land Bank Association Tops Pacific Northwest Growth
The Federal Land Bank Association of Preston has become the largest in the Northwest with 821 loans totaling 11 041 000. From a single Preston office it now serves five counties Bannock Oneida Bear Lake Caribou and Franklin through consolidation. Clifford War led the group until last year, succeeded by Joe Garner who notes strong local agricultural diversity and finances as key to growth. The Preston operation remains financially sound with cash earnings funding a new building and a high annual dividend. About 200 000 is invested in bonds and stocks ready for use.
