Forty Americans Killed In Idaho Mountain Crash
A C 246 aircraft carrying 40 men including 37 Korean War veterans was found wrecked in Idaho’s Franklin County east of Malad City after a weeklong search. All aboard were killed instantly. wreckage scattered across snowbound terrain, with recovery delayed until spring thaws. Local officials and volunteers conducted exhaustive air searches.
