Tri-School Band Concert Set for January 20 at Dayton
The second annual tri-school band concert will be held Thursday January 20 at 8 p m in the West Side High School gymnasium Dayton. Preston band performs color guards and twirlers and plays Golden Rule March and Patriot Salute among others. West Side band performs Stars and Stripes Forever and Great Gate of Kiev. M band plays His Honor March and Colorama with massed bands featuring Storm King and Military Escort. National Anthem closes the program.

Damage is estimated at 10000 with 800 laying hens, a feed mixer, and 3000 dollars of grain and brooders lost. An aluminum roof helped limit further loss. fire likely started from an overheated furnace and partial insurance coverage is noted.

Willow Way Tavern Damaged by Fire at Preston Edge
Willow Way tavern at the north edge of Preston was badly damaged by a late Sunday fire. A heating stove or faulty wiring is suspected as the cause. damage concentrated in the interior fixtures and dining end of the dance hall owned by Reuben Taylor. The blaze was discovered about 8 30 p m and firefighters spent hours bringing it under control.

Mrs. William Turner Dies After Illness in Soda Springs
Susan Mariah Stephenson Turner born June 23 1878 in Richfield Utah died early Monday in a Soda Springs hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage. She married William J Turner November 19 1908 in the Salt Lake LDS temple and lived much of her married life in Grace Idaho and Feesisa Greece. She held church and relics society roles and left surviving children and relatives through several named spouses and kin.
