Preston Idaho Commissioners Review Tax Adjustments and Exemptions
The Preston Idaho Board of County Commissioners met December 12 1955 in regular session. They denied Mrs Nephi Jensen widow exemption for 1955 while granting a blind exemption to Mr Nephi Jensen. They approved numerous tax reductions for listed taxpayers and discussed property valuations and cemetery maintenance district matters. They ordered a Veterans Exemption based tax warrant for Mr Viehwegs Dayton property and approved budget items including a 500 dollar contribution to a Franklin County National Guard unit and a 300 dollar grant to the Eastern Idaho Fair District. They accepted the resignation of George V Hansen as Justice of the Peace for District No 1. The November 1955 hospital and county salary reports were approved and various bills paid.
