Friday's program starts at 1 30 with organ prelude by Mrs Orval Benson, welcome by Gilbert, accordion by Nadine Wright, a vocal solo by Reese Almond, and John Webb will talk on the national convention. Bear River Compact will be discussed by Clyde W. O. Salt Lake City attorney.

Charles A Lundquist longtime Weston resident and former mayor died Friday at a Logan hospital after an extended illness aged 78 He was born January 22 in Weston and married Catherine Kofoed in 1884 later wed Martha Olson in 1902 He served Franklin County as commissioner Weston school board and helped establish Weston High School He chaired local church and civic groups and ran Lundquist Mercantile He is survived by his widow five daughters one son 19 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and siblings John P Lundquist Praston and Mrs continued on page BD

A Tuesday exam at the county courthouse tested candidates for census enumerator and crew leader posts to gather 1950 population data. Fire destroys coops and 500 baby chicks in Dayton

Rulon C Perkins, 49 of Dayton, died Tuesday morning from a sudden heart attack. Born March 7 1900, son of David A and Mary E Callan Perkins, he married Stelild Berrett October 22 1919 in Pocatello.
