Franklin area resident and farmer Joseph Chatterton died Tuesday following a stroke two weeks earlier. He was born February 13, 1879 in Franklin to Joseph and Elizabeth Chatterton. Funeral services set for Saturday at 2 pm in the Franklin ward chapel conducted by Bishop Wilford B Waddoups. burial in Franklin Cemetery under Richards and Sons mortuary guidance. The Gem Valley Dairymen's Cooperative Cheese Plant burned off its $21 600 mortgage after four years and ten months aided by favorable market years and strong leadership.
