Preparations under way for 1957 Franklin County March of Dimes

Franklin County prepares to launch the 1957 March of Dimes starting January 7 led by Ace Beckstead as county chairman. Since 1938 through November 1956 the county raised 41 487 40, with 40 545 15 spent on polio care locally. The fund has sent 942 24 to national headquarters for research and vaccine development.

Bartlett M Nash Sr longtime local man and Burnham Hotel owner Mabel Nash widow died from a heart attack after a brief illness He was born February 27 1895 in Preston son of Andrew Be and Myrtle Day He moved to Preston at age nine and later served as state inspector for the Department of Agriculture He was a Lions Club member and on the school board Burial will be in Preston with services conducted at Franklin ward chapel today Survivors include his wife and several sons and daughters and two stepdaughters

Cutter Races Set For Saturday at Rocky Mountain Airport

A schedule shows 18 teams contesting a championship cutter race event this Saturday starting at 1 30 p m.
