Evans proposed a 1978 budget plan that could fund a 35000 dollar addition to the Preston National Guard Armory with 14000 dollars from state funds and a 30000 dollar federal match for a new classroom. Administrative specialist Elmer Oliverson said plans call for next summer, seating 100 and expanding the rear motor pool. designs are not final, and prior flood damage delayed funding.
